BJ and the Bear was a favorite of my brother and I when we were young. The dueling between BJ and Sherif Lobo (played by Claude Aikins) was always compelling, especially when I was 9. It seemed that NBC was quick to capitalize on the character and launched an ill-advised spinoff. “The Misadventures of Sherif Lobo” lasted only two seasons.
